👩🎓 Who Can Apply?
✅ Eligibility Criteria for Women Candidates
Nationality:
- Indian Citizen, or
- Subject of Nepal, or
- Person of Indian origin migrated from select countries with an eligibility certificate.
Marital Status:
- Unmarried women only
- Widows of Defence Personnel (non-remarried) can apply under non-technical (non-UPSC) entry.
Age Limit:
- 20 to 27 years as on 01 April 2026 (i.e. born between 01 April 1999 to 01 April 2006)
- For widows: Max age is 35 years
📚 Educational Qualifications
➤ For SSCW (Tech):
- Engineering graduates (BE/B.Tech) in relevant streams
- Final-year students can apply but must submit proof of passing before 01 April 2026
➤ For SSCW (Non-Tech – Widows Entry):
- Graduation in any stream from a recognized university

📝 Selection Process
The selection is done in four key stages:
- Shortlisting of applications based on academic performance
- SSB Interview at Selection Centres: Bhopal, Bengaluru, Allahabad, Jalandhar
- Medical Examination of recommended candidates
- Final Merit List based on SSB score (no weightage for higher degrees or marks)
🔔 Final year students must submit proof of passing by 01 April 2026, or their candidature will be canceled.
🧭 Training Details at OTA, Chennai
- Duration: 49 weeks
- Commission Granted: Short Service Commission (SSC) as Lieutenant
- Stipend during training: ₹56,100/month
- Marriage not allowed during training
After successful completion, officers will serve for a period of 10 years, extendable by 4 more years, based on performance and organization’s needs.
